Synopsis
Carmine accesses the world of the versatile creator Sofía Saunier, a transvestite filmmaker who portrays her community, and Carmen, an older woman with no memory who spends most of the day in bed. A story of physical and emotional displacement framed in a powerful invisible social portrait.
Director
Aldo Garay has received multiple international distinctions for the ten documentaries and one narrative feature film he has directed, including the Teddy Award for The New Man at the Berlinale. Retrospectives of his work have been held at BAFICI, FIDOCS, and the National Cineteca of Mexico.
Producer
Micaela Solé co-founded Cordón Films in 2007 to develop feature films. The projects she produced have premiered and received awards at festivals such as Berlin, Toronto, Locarno, and San Sebastian. She has co-distributed her films, both nationally and internationally.
Co-producer
Martín Rodríguez Redondo is a director, producer, and screenwriter. He co-produced and directed the feature film Marilyn, which premiered worldwide at the Berlinale and screened at more than thirty festivals around the world. It won the Best Feature Film Award at Queer Lisboa (Portugal) and TLVFest (Israel).
