Synopsis

After the death of a recognized indigenous leader, Adam hesitates to assume as the new lonko, as tradition dictates. The weight of the responsibility and the desire for power of his younger brother lead Adam on a journey of inner search and transformation. Adam will find the answers to recover his ancient lineage through premonitory dreams.

  Journalist and documentary filmmaker. Lonko, a Journey to the Roots is his debut as a documentary feature film director. In 2021, he premiered his first documentary series as a director with Ancestral Secret, Guardians of Medicine, a series of twelve documentaries on indigenous communities in America.
