Synopsis

Surfing for Seniors is a choral story that follows retirees from Chile and Spain in their daily life in front of technologies. A painter who looks for guys through Grindr to portray nudes; a tarot reader who tries to take her business to the digital world. A portrait of old age, loneliness, and exclusion, but also the search to feel connected.

  Filmmaker from the University of Chile. Participant on Talents Campus Buenos Aires, Bafici 2017. He holds two master’s degrees from ESCAC (Barcelona), one in Editing and one in Documentary filmmaking. Director of Escaip (2012), Snap (2017), and Sombra vertical (2022), which premiered at Vision du Reel.
