Synopsis

The excitement and disappointment seem to be the emotional state that has marked Chile’s political history over the last 50 years. Illusions that arise and quickly vanish, lead me to review images of our history wondering how can we remain dreaming about the life that will come.

  Karin Cuyul ​​premiered her first feature documentary Story of my name at the IFFR in 2019, where she received a Special Mention from the jury. In 2023, she premiered the short documentary Notas para el futuro at FICValdivia. She is currently finishing her next documentary, “La vida que vendra”.

  Joséphine Schroeder is a graduate of EAVE Puentes, Berlinale Talents and EURODOC 2024. In 2016, she co-founded the production company Pequén Producciones in Chile with Karin Cuyul. She produced the documentaries «Historia de mi Nombre» «Gaucho Americano», «Pirópolis» and «The life that will come».

  Jerónimo Atehortúa is the producer of the feature films Pirotecnia by Federico Atehortúa and Como el cielo después de llover directed by Mercedes. His first feature film as a director, which he co-directed with Luis Ospina, Mudos testigos premiered in Rotterdam 2023.
