Synopsis

While they work collecting oysters, Mercedes and Armida Valenzuela recall how as teenagers, they run away from home in search of love, how after having twenty children, they break with the violence of their partners and become fishermen, and finally, we observe how in old age they escape of misery and loneliness by becoming mermaids.

  Producer and writer of Another World (DigiCon6 Asia Award 2019), whose feature-length version won the HAF Fiction Award 2020. She produced Hotel Soul Good (Udine Far East Film Festival 2018) and The Lady Improper (CinemAsia Film Festival 2019). She also wrote the film Rest on Your Shoulder (2011).
