Attention everybody! The selection of series and film projects that will participate in the VI International Documentary Industry Meeting event Conecta is now available! Take a look in the Connected section, the Connect with the Roots Workshop, the Boost your Project in Development Workshop, and the Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Women taking the lead on various projects<\/ins><\/strong><\/p>\n

A total of 23 projects were selected to participate in Connected<\/strong>, a section for documentary projects and non-fiction series in the development stage, which will result in the participation of project representatives in round tables and individual meetings with some of the professional guests, as well as panels, talks and other networking activities. More than 20 production companies and 9 directors stand out in both feature films and non-fiction series.<\/p>\n

The Indigenous cinema flourishes in Conecta<\/ins><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Connect with the Roots Workshop<\/strong> has selected 5 feature film projects from Central America and the Andean areas. The training instance, which looks to empower indigenous filmmakers from the region with documentary projects in the development stage or in the initial state of production, will be led by the Sundance Institute and the Chilean Documentary Corporation CCDoc.<\/p>\n

8 feature documentary projects were selected to participate in the first edition of DOCS IN PROGRESS FIDOCS + CONECTA<\/strong>, a collaboration between the Conecta WIP and the FIDOCS Latin American First Cut Competition. Family and personal life stories, new gender perspectives, search for indigenous roots and social inequality are some of the topics addressed by the selected projects and that will participate in the event to be held at the end of this year.<\/p>\n
