Through round tables, individual meetings, talks, and panels, 25 projects from 11 Latin American countries will be able to contact funders, markets, festivals, sales agents and distributors, programmers, exhibitors, and television stations. The organization will coordinate the meetings, looking to pair each project\u2019s interests with the guest\u2019s work and funding lines.<\/p>\n

Connect with Distribution<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

This section is dedicated to documentary feature films and non-fiction series either completed or in postproduction stages. Through round tables, individual meetings, talks, and panels, 15 projects from 9 countries will be able to access festivals, distributors, sales agents, independent cinema exhibitors, online platforms, and television stations to establish commercial relationships and boost new distribution showcases. <\/p>\n

Docs in Progress FIDOCS+Conecta<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

This year and for the first time, we will carry out this section alongside FIDOCS Festival Internacional de Documentales de Santiago. Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta brings together 8 projects in postproduction from 7 Latin American countries. The cuts will be seen by festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, exhibitors, platforms, and\/or television channels. This section also counts with a session dedicated to a participatory dialogue between the invited filmmakers who envisioned the film and a specialized consultancy with editing and postproduction experts, among others. Every team will also have individual meetings organized by Conecta.<\/p>\n

Connect with the Roots Workshop<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

Training workshop by the Sundance Documentary Film Program and CCDoc Corporaci\u00f3n Chilena del Documental for creators belonging to indigenous communities with documentaries in development or in initial production stages. It seeks to strengthen the narrative proposal of the projects and reinforce identity in its perspectives. The workshop includes a gathering between the current participants and those from the previous edition to establish a network of collaboration and support.<\/p>\n

Boost your Documentary in Development Workshop<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

Workshop for debut films by producers and directors with documentaries in development or initial production stages that seek to boost the narrative development of their projects and receive full context of current funding opportunities, their specifics, and the kind of projects they guide. The workshop is lead by Gema Ju\u00e1rez Allen, outstanding Argentinian producer (Teatro de guerra, \u00a1Vivan las ant\u00edpodas!). The projects will also have individual meetings with national and international guests, coordinated by the organization, looking to pair each project\u2019s interests with the guest\u2019s work and funding lines.<\/p>\n

Connect with New Media<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

This section will explore new immersive, interactive, and communicational languages through experimental and innovative technological trends. The new media documentary projects will have the opportunity to present themselves and dialogue with National Film Board NFB, Mediamorfosis, and Steropsia Latam. The projects will also have individual meetings with national and international guests, coordinated by the organization, looking to pair each project\u2019s interests with the guest\u2019s work and funding lines.<\/p>\n

Editing & Distribution Workshop<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

Workshop for editors, directors, and producers with feature film documentary projects in postproduction stages focused on the artistic development of the works and consultancies that can boost their distribution and commercialization. The workshop began in August and counts with three 5-day sessions. Conecta hosts the third and last session. The projects will have individual meetings with national and international guests, which will be coordinated by the organization.<\/p>\n

Production Companies from Chiledoc Sectorial Brand<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

Chiledoc is the brand that brings together Chilean documentaries under two values that identify them: the community\u2019s associative nature and the diversity of its productions. Both qualities emphasize the complementary result that comes from the addition views that are different from each other. We invite you to discover the seventeen projects these companies present to us.<\/p>\n

Campus Latino<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n

Campus Latino provides international visibility to impactful stories. It\u2019s a training program for Latin American filmmakers, led by Documentary Campus, the Goethe-Institut, and BWP production company. This year we will welcome 8 projects that will participate in a 3 full-day workshop by tutors Everardo Gonz\u00e1lez, Gema Juarez Allen, and Bettina Walter. <\/p>\n
