Besides, each will have Chilean sign-language interpreters and an option to activate simultaneous translation for non-Spanish speaking guests.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conecta, the country\u2019s largest documentary industry event, is a space to promote documentary cinema\u2019s culture and spectacle. It\u2019s a call out for some of the most important distribution and project finalizing referents to be exhibited and take part in different festivals and TV channels. As a space, it allows each project\u2019s team and those interested in documentary cinema to be directly involved with first-level national and international exponents.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the varied activities Conecta offers are virtual panels, also known as webinars. In this opportunity, CONECTA has developed a two-panel-a-day itinerary, morning and afternoon. <\/p>\n<p><ins datetime=\"2021-12-02T20:29:38+00:00\"><strong>UNMISSABLE PANELS<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, December 2nd, at 10:00 AM, the panel <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chileconecta.cl\/en\/actividades\/05-movies-that-matter-and-one-world-organizations-that-promote-the-link-between-cinema-and-human-rights\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Movies That Matter and One World: organizations that promote the link between cinema and Human Rights<\/a><\/strong>, very much in tune with Chile\u2019s current times, two years after its political and social Outburst- will take place. Maarten Stolz, senior programmer at Movies that Matter, and Tom\u00e1\u0161 Po\u0161tulka, One World programmer, Sebasti\u00e1n Moreno, outstanding documentary director and filmmaker, also known for directing important Chilean movies like <em>La ciudad de los fotografos<\/em> (2006), and <em>Sergio Larra\u00edn, the Eternal Moment <\/em>(2021), will be moderating the panel. <\/p>\n<p>On that same day at 3:00 PM, the panel <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chileconecta.cl\/en\/actividades\/06-accessible-cinema-how-to-promote-the-use-of-inclusive-tools-in-todays-audiovisual-industry\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Accessible cinema: how to promote the use of inclusive tools in today\u2019s audiovisual industry<\/a><\/strong>, right in line with to the Teleton happening this week in Chile \u2013 will take place. Among some of the participants are Ximena Quiroz from Pupa Studio, Paula Talloni and Soledad Silva from Almada Media, Viviana Corval\u00e1n, director of the documentary \u00daltimo a\u00f1o, Mackito Matisen and Camila Serrano from Asociaci\u00f3n CreA. This space will be moderated by the renowned documentary filmmaker Alejandro Hidalgo, who collaborated to produce the documentary <em>Resonancia<\/em>, portraying the story of a group of deaf and blind people taking part in a theater play. <\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, <strong>all of these panels can be viewed at the Chilean Documentary Corporation\u2019s Facebook and Youtube channels and will have a Chilean sign-language interpreter<\/strong>. Participating at the event will be LAVtv, a new streaming platform focused on sustainability issues to be launched in 2022, next to Fundacion Verde Chile, Plastic Oceans Chile, Fundacion Patagonia Colab, Brazilian Film Critics Association (Abraccine), and Creative Economies CORFO. <\/p>\n<p>Next week, starting from Monday, December 6th, four remaining panels about relevant issues will be presented, raising expectations for its organizers. To start the week, the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/Immersing ourselves in new media: National Film Board, promoters of new narratives, research and audiovisual production\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Immersing ourselves in new media: National Film Board, promoters of new narratives, research and audiovisual production<\/a><\/strong>, will be taking place. Participating at the panel will be the Canadian executive producer of NFB, Louis-Richard Tremblay, renowned for embodying the meeting point between documentary and technology. This panel will not be moderated but will have simultaneous translation and Chilean sign-language interpretation. <\/p>\n<p>But that is not all for Monday, as just as the week before, there will be an afternoon panel, at 3:00 PM. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/Links and discussion spaces between science, creativity and the audiovisual world\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Links and discussion spaces between science, creativity and the audiovisual world<\/a><\/strong>, is the name of the webinar in which the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers executive director, Paul Lewis, will take part. Gaston Chedufau, Las Minas Starmedia, will moderate the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, on Tuesday, December 7th, the closing day of the event, two panels will be streamed: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chileconecta.cl\/en\/actividades\/11-boutique-distribution-in-latin-america-an-option-for-auteur-documentaries-through-two-experiences\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boutique distribution in Latin America: an option for auteur documentaries through two experiences<\/a><\/strong>, AM panel, in which Maria Vera, Portuguese Kino Rebelde\u2019s distributor and sales agent, and Paulina Portela, director and reach manager for Compa\u00f1\u00eda de Cine de Argentina. A panel of women, moderated by Claudia Rodriguez, CEO for the Colombian Preciosa Media, a company dedicated to distribution, alliances, and funding for co-productions, as well as media consulting. <\/p>\n<p>Lastly, on the afternoon slot, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chileconecta.cl\/en\/actividades\/12-is-culture-a-right-thoughts-on-the-role-of-the-arts-in-the-new-constitution\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Is culture a right? Thoughts on the role of the arts in the new Constitution <\/a><\/strong>panel will be streamed. Isabel Bravo, a representative for the Culture in Emergency Intersectorial Coordinator (CICE) and for the Chilean Musicians Federation, Daniela Raviola from the Chilean Independent Producers Association (API), and Constanza Sch\u00f6nhaut, lawyer and district 11 constitutional representative.
