From December 9 to 12<\/strong>, 2025, the 10th edition of Conecta, the International Documentary Industry Meeting<\/strong>, will be held in Santiago, Chile. As every year, Conecta will present a series of awards or recognitions, thanks to the invaluable support of its close collaborators and partnerships. Some of these awards, for which selected projects are eligible, include:<\/p>\n

FIDOCS First Cut Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nCash prize of USD 1,500 to be used at the discretion of the winner for the completion of the film. Section: Docs in Progress<\/p>\n

SONAMOS Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nThree days of 5.1 sound mixing at SONAMOS studio, equivalent to USD 3,000, to be carried out during 2026. Section: Docs in Progress<\/p>\n

Cannes Docs Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nOne project in the editing stage will be awarded two accreditations to March\u00e9 du Film, to participate in Cannes Docs 2026 as a \u201cSpotlighted Project.\u201d Section: Docs in Progress<\/p>\n

Cineteca Nacional Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nConsisting of 1 minute of royalty-free archive footage, DCP conforming, and 1 DCP screening test in a movie theater. Section: Docs in Progress<\/p>\n

Mediocielo Films Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe production company and training hub will award a documentary in the editing stage with editing consulting services, to be carried out during 2026.<\/p>\n

Albatros Post Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe post-production company will award a project in the editing or post-production stage with a DCP conform for theatrical exhibition and personalized editing advice.<\/p>\n

The Whickers Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nIncentive of \u00a33,000 (three thousand pounds sterling) for a director of a debut documentary project in development, participating in The Whickers Pitching at Conecta, to be awarded to the director of the work.<\/p>\n

Documenta Sur Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nSelection of a project in development, production, or editing to participate in Documenta Sur’s training and advisory activities in 2026.<\/p>\n

Sheffield DocFest Networking Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe prize consists of two industry passes to the festival for a project in development or early production, and a waiver for application to the MeetMarket.
\n*This award does not guarantee selection for the Sheffield Doc Fest MeetMarket.<\/p>\n

DocsMX Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nIt will select a project in development or production to participate in the activities of its 2026 edition of DocsLAB.<\/p>\n

ADOC Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nOne project in development will be awarded two mentoring sessions with a member of the Chilean Documentary Filmmakers Association, the content of which will depend on the specific characteristics of the winning project.<\/p>\n

Taturana Award and Impacta Cine Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nA project with the potential to develop a social impact campaign in an advanced stage of production will be awarded a mentoring program focused on developing and reviewing the one-pager for its impact campaign, led by the Taturana Institute. The mentoring program aims to discuss, reflect, and create, based on the objectives, the macro structure of the campaign and structure a coherent and articulated design between the actions and goals.<\/p>\n

FAB Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nSelection of a project in development or production with international potential to co-produce with Argentina, to participate in \u201dProjects Under Construction\u00bb and business rounds within the framework of FAB 2026.
\n*The organization will cover the transfer of the project within Argentina to Bariloche, and the stay in that city.<\/p>\n

DocSP Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nDirect selection for the Docsp 2026 Business Rounds, includes two free accreditations with access to market activities and seminars.<\/p>\n

Creative Production Workshop Award – Panama<\/a><\/strong>
\nDirect selection of a Latin American project in development, prioritizing Central America, to participate in the Creative Producers Workshop in 2026. The selection includes participation in the workshop, accommodation, local transportation, and airfare support.<\/p>\n

Southern Encounters Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nSelection of a project in development to participate in Encuentros Australes 2026, which takes place in the city of Valdivia during FICValdivia.<\/p>\n

Ibir\u00ed Filmes Award<\/a><\/strong>
\nA project in development by an indigenous or Afro-descendant filmmaker from Latin America participating in the Conecta con las Ra\u00edces Workshop will be awarded creative consulting by the Ibir\u00ed Films team to be carried out during 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
