Six projects have been chosen to participate in the 2024 Funding and Market Application Workshop, a training initiative for Latin American documentaries in the development stage. For the third year, Conecta includes the mentorship of Isabel Arrate, Executive Director of the IDFA Bertha Fund, who will guide and support the selected projects during their early stages. Participants will take part in a two-day workshop, as well as one-on-one meetings and opportunities to join other industry and networking activities.
This year, the workshop received 59 applications from 10 Latin American countries, from which six projects were selected, representing four countries: Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile. The Funding and Market Application Workshop is one of the various workshops and activities organized by Conecta to strengthen documentary projects and expand their international presence. For the 9th Meeting of the International Documentary Film Industry, a total of 332 applications from 18 countries were received. Together with international guests, this event brings together representatives from 28 countries.
