Conecta 2025 Awards

From December 9 to 12, 2025, the 10th edition of Conecta, the International Documentary Industry Meeting, will be held in Santiago, Chile. As every year, Conecta will present a series of awards or recognitions, thanks to the invaluable support of its close collaborators and partnerships. Some of these awards, for which selected projects are eligible, include:

FIDOCS First Cut Award
Cash prize of USD 1,500 to be used at the discretion of the winner for the completion of the film.

SONAMOS Award
Three days of 5.1 sound mixing at SONAMOS studio, equivalent to USD 3,000, to be carried out during 2026.

Cannes Docs Award
One project in the editing stage will be awarded two accreditations to Marché du Film, to participate in Cannes Docs 2026 as a “Spotlighted Project.”

Cineteca Nacional Award
Cineteca Award Consisting of 1 minute of royalty-free archive footage, DCP format, and 1 DCP screening test in a movie theater.

Mediocielo Films Award
The production company and training hub will award a documentary in an advanced stage of production or editing with editing advice, to be carried out during 2026.

Albatros Post Award
The post-production company will award a project in the editing or post-production stage with a DCP for theatrical release and personalized editing advice.

The Whickers Award
Incentive of £3,000 (three thousand pounds sterling) for a director of a debut documentary project in development, participating in The Whickers Pitching at Conecta, to be awarded to the director of the work.

Documenta Sur Award
Selection of a Chilean project under development that originates from a region other than the Metropolitan Region, to participate in Documenta Sur’s training and advisory activities in 2026.

Sheffield Doc Fest Award
The prize consists of two passes to the festival for a project in development or production.

Sunny Side of the Doc Award
The Sunny Side prize consists of two free passes to Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle, France, and a waiver to apply for free to one of its seven pitching sessions.

DocsMX Award
It will select a project in development, production, or editing to participate in the activities of its 2026 edition of DocsLAB.

ADOC Award
One project in development will be awarded two mentoring sessions with a member of the Chilean Documentary Filmmakers Association, the content of which will depend on the specific characteristics of the winning project.

Taturana Award and Impacta Cine Award
A project with the potential to develop a social impact campaign in an advanced stage of production will be awarded a mentorship focused on developing and reviewing the one-pager for its impact campaign, led by the Taturana Institute. The mentorship aims to discuss, reflect, and create, based on the objectives, the macro structure of the campaign and structure a coherent and articulated design between the actions and goals.

FAB Award
Selection of a project in development or production with international potential to co-produce with Argentina, to participate in “Projects Under Construction” and business rounds within the framework of FAB 2026.

DocSP Award
Direct selection for the Docsp 2026 Business Rounds, includes two free accreditations with access to market activities and seminars.

Creative Producers Workshop Award
Direct selection of a Latin American project in development, prioritizing Central America, to participate in the Creative Producers Workshop in 2026. The selection includes participation in the workshop, accommodation, local transportation, and $100 USD to support the purchase of the ticket.
