Aimed at documentary feature films and non-fiction series in development, this year Connected received 130 submissions from 14 countries. Of these, 15 projects were selected, representing 8 Latin American countries: Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Panama. The selected participants will have the opportunity to take part in one-on-one meetings with industry representatives invited to Conecta, as well as join talks, panels, and co-production meetings.
Connected is one of several initiatives aimed at strengthening networking, training, and internationalization, promoted within the framework of the 9° Meeting of the International Documentary Film Industry. The general call for the different workshops and dynamics received 332 applications from 18 Latin American countries. In addition to the participation of invited guests, Conecta 2024 brings together industry representatives from 27 countries around the world.
