We are stories traveling from Latin America and the Caribbean to the world. Our ecosystem not only beats—it endures because it is alive and knows the essential value of collaboration and networks. Here, a story is born locally, strengthened through community, and projected globally, driving narratives from our own perspective.
CONECTA is part of this frontline. Over ten years, we have been nourished by stories and the generosity of our community, building bridges for voices and perspectives that refuse to be erased—voices that emerge from the Amazon, the desert, or Patagonia and reach all the way to major cities.
The road traveled matters, as do the human factors and the memory we preserve. It matters that at CONECTA, stories intersect, care for one another, and grow stronger, affirming the irreplaceable value of Latin America and the Caribbean as a documentary hub that inspires and resonates globally, despite adverse headwinds.
We are a creative economy whose value is fundamental to democracy and national development. Beyond governments and administrations, our value is intrinsic.
In these ten years, the continent has erupted with uprisings and pandemics; we’ve confronted AI, the rise of platforms, and funding systems that have been pushed to the brink.
Today, sustainability and impact are imperatives for survival. That is why we’re here—to share knowledge, experiences, and ideas to imagine a future.
What lies ahead is uncertain, but—as always—we will build it together.
