What is Conecta?

Conecta is an international documentary industry meeting aimed at Latin American producers and filmmakers with documentary projects in development, editing, post-production or finished. National and international industry representatives participate in this event, including agents from funds, markets and festivals, distributors, sales agents, exhibitors, platform and television channel programmers and producers.

Conecta aims to link the various actors of the national and international industry to promote the production, distribution and marketing of documentaries and series, encouraging the internationalization and co-production of projects, thus strengthening the collaboration between Latin American producers and creators.

This years’ event will be hybrid with on-site, virtual and streamed activities, including three workshops for projects in development and completion stages; a Docs in Progress section, organized in alliance with Santiago International Documentary Festival FIDOCS; a public pitch organized in partnership with The Whickers; an open air screening; in addition to the usual industry activities such as round tables, one-on-one meetings, panels and networking events.

Conecta is organized by the Chilean Documentary Corporation CCDoc and supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Arts and Heritage and the Support Program for Collaborating Cultural Organizations of the same institution. It is made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of various public and private organizations.

This year, the event will be held in the Yungay heritage district in downtown Santiago. Its main venues will be the Gabriela Mistral Education Museum, the Sound Museum and Casona Compañía.
