The Whickers develops and fund first-time directors’ documentaries in late development and early production stages. Supported films include Our Hoolocks, Kamay, I Want to Kill My Grandfather, No Simple Way Home, Hermit of Treig and Hope Frozen. Also Homeboys (winner of the 2023 Latin American bursary at Conecta). The winner of this year’s main film award will receive £100,000 and the runner-up a £20,000 grant. Apply by 31st January 2024.
