Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is North America’s largest documentary festival, conference and market. Each year, the Festival presents a selection of approximately two hundred cutting-edge documentaries from Canada and around the globe. Our mission is to advance and celebrate the art of documentary, and to showcase the work of and create production opportunities for documentary filmmakers.
Shane Smith
Director of Programming at Hot Docs. He was director of Special Projects and Public Programs at TIFF. He was executive producer of In-Flight Entertainment at Spafax, director of programming at Channel Zero Inc, director of the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, programmer of short films at Sundance and programmer of the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival.
