Synopsis

In the Cabañas, extravagant roadside motels in the Dominican Republic, employees clean rooms while recounting stories of their guests. They then turn to the camera to reveal their own longings and quietly stage the desires they have never fulfilled.

  Director and DP based between Portugal and Mexico. Through light, she builds atmospheres that invite reflection, exploring identity and collectivity. As DP, her work has screened at Rotterdam, Busan, Havana, Málaga, and LALIFF.

  Afro-Indigenous director and screenwriter from Maracaibo, Venezuela, and EICTV (Cuba) graduate. His work explores memory, identity, and social transformation. He has taken part in Berlinale Talents, Arché, Eurodoc Caribe–Ji.hlava, Huesca, Havana.

  Born in the Dominican Republic in 1991. Graduated in Fine Arts at Parsons (NYC), documentary at ECIB (Barcelona), and screenwriting at ESTC (Lisbon). Produced short La Xarxa (2019), feature D’Sory (2021), and web series Queer Narratives (2024).
