Synopsis

An exotic deer species spreads uncontrollably across Uruguay. A park ranger devises a plan to stop them without killing, while a Brazilian businesswoman who feels a spiritual connection with the animals vows to protect them, and a farming couple starts hunting to preserve their livelihood. Who decides who lives and who dies?

    (Uruguay, 1992) Documentary filmmaker and graduate of the DocNomads master’s program. Her short films Exoskeletons and Out of Shape have been screened at international festivals like CPH DOCS and Hot Docs. She is a programmer at Braziers Film Festival (UK) and has worked for the BBC in London.

    Nicolás Sequeira is a producer and director. He has worked on international series and films while developing his narrative vision with his production company, Guazuvirá. His short films have won awards, and his features Las viudas, Bicho, and Fideos con tuco are in development.
