Synopsis
After dreaming of his late grandmother, a Chinese-Peruvian writer returns to Peru to write the great novel about Chinese immigration that he never managed to write. On this journey, he comes to realise that some stories may not survive because they are written down, but because they find someone willing to carry them on.
Director
Peruvian filmmaker with an MA in Visual Anthropology from the University of Barcelona. He co-directed Barsaq, selected for the Casa de América–Fundación Carolina residency, and Taxi Dakar. El Retorno del Tusán received Peruvian public funding.
Producer
Peruvian producer with an MA in Audiovisual Distribution and Business from ECAM. He produced Campeón de Peso Welter and El Retorno del Tusán, both recipients of Peruvian public funding. He has festival experience in Peru.
