Centro Arte Alameda is a cultural space open to various forms of expression: cinema, music, performing arts, and visual arts. It programs and distributes national and international auteur cinema, with an emphasis on independent works. In 2019, its headquarters were destroyed during the social unrest, prompting a necessary reinvention. Today, it continues its work at the Extension Center of the National Institute (CEINA).
FIDOCS, founded by documentary filmmaker Patricio Guzmán in 1997, is the leading venue for non-fiction cinema in Chile and Latin America. It explores the diverse paths of documentary filmmaking and the drifts of non-fiction, selecting feature films, short films, installations, and works that address the question of “the real.” In 2025, FIDOCS will celebrate its twenty-ninth edition, which will take place between November 19 and 26 at four venues in the historic center of the city of Santiago.
Martín Castillo
Graduate of the Audiovisual Direction program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
He has worked as a screenwriter, producer, and actor on various projects. Since 2016, he has been a programmer and distributor at Centro Arte Alameda. In 2025, he served as Programming Director for the 29th edition of FIDOCS.
