FICValdivia is the main meeting point for Chilean cinema and one of the most important festivals in Latin America. Founded in 1994, it exhibits works in 5 competitive categories: Feature Film, Youth Feature Film, Latin American Short Film, Latin American Short Film for Children and National Short Film for Film Students. Its non-competitive program includes historical retrospectives, spotlights on contemporary filmmakers, political cinema, avant-garde, genre and new narratives.
Raúl Camargo
Film programmer, director of FICValdivia since 2014. Teacher of film history in several Chilean universities, since 2020 he has been giving free online courses. In 2022 he creates and directs the Film Map of Latin America and the Caribbean, collaborative film mapping with the participation of 220 specialists from our territories. environment, human rights.
