Synopsis
What starts as a true-crime tale about three women —one jailed under dictatorship, one who fled Brazil, and one who took her life— shifts when their nephew, now a father and the film’s director, steps in and questions his own story. Through archives and travel, he attempts to reunite his family as his children point toward another future.
Director
Filmmaker graduated from the Centro de Investigación Cinematográfica (CIC, Buenos Aires). He has directed the short films Todo lo demás (2016), Arreglos internos (2015), and is currently directing the feature documentary Tres Tristes Tías.

Producer from the University of Valparaíso. She has produced the short films «Retorno», «Renacer», and «Antes que baje el sol». She is currently the executive co-producer of the documentaries «Tres Tristes Tías» and «Una casa celeste».

Journalist from Universidad Alberto Hurtado and Master in Executive Production from ECAM, Madrid. He has produced the documentary short films Ciudad de Cartón and Caminando a paso firme. He is the executive co-producer of the feature documentary Tres Tristes Tías.

BA in Sociology from Unicamp and MA in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths. Founder of the production company Laboratorio Cisco (BR). His first feature film, Cartas para Angola, participated in more than 30 festivals across 16 countries. He is a co-producer of the documentary Tres Tristes Tías.

Independent audiovisual production company founded in 2019 in Ñuble, Chile. It focuses on creative and auteur documentary cinema, exploring memory, identity, and territory through research, archives, and voices that expand the language of Latin American documentary film.
