Tres Tercios
We are a production company based in Chile since 2011, aiming to create original and high-quality content for various platforms. Our work is diverse in both content and format. Our goal is to promote critical thinking and reflection in any format, whether it’s for film, television, or the web.

Synopsis

Centuries ago, naturalists like Charles Darwin, Marianne North, and Claudio Gay used illustration to reveal species never seen before to the world. Today, a new generation of illustrators takes on their legacies in a groundbreaking documentary series, this time to explore territories in crisis and sketch ecosystems threatened by the human species.

  Guzmán

  Co-director

  David Guzmán is a documentary filmmaker. As a research director and scriptwriter, he has worked on the series Illicit Trade, Chiloé, and History of Graphic Design in Chile. He is currently directing the rockumentary Adelaida: Spiral Dreams (WIP winner at the In-Edit Festival) in the post-production stage.

  Breit

  Co-director

  Diego Breit is a Chilean filmmaker who graduated from the Vienna Film Academy. He founded Glaciar Films and directed series such as Chiloé, Illicit Trade, and Building Visions for ARTE.

• Ignacia

  Merino

  Producer

  Chilean director and producer. She is a producer at Tres Tercios, specializing in non-fiction series, animation,and short films. She founded Dos Be, where she directed the documentary In the Shadow of Light with Isabel Reyes, selected at Sheffield Doc Fest 2023, SANFIC, and others.

• Pablo

  Arias Daud

  Producer

  Co-founder of Tres Tercios. His notable work as a producer includes the stop-motion animated series Zander and the feature film About the Dead. As a director, he worked on the documentary series Por la razón y la ciencia and co-directed the TV documentary Chile 62: The Universal Party.
