Synopsis
Two Chileans adopted in Europe embark on a journey. Daniel was declared dead at birth; Juan dreams of a wounded woman. Both seek to understand their origins, find a mother, and reconstruct their stories. Landless Children is an invitation to a journey—both mental and physical—into the depths of a forgotten land.
Director
Psychologist and filmmaker. After working with minors in La Araucanía, he studied film in France. His documentary The Burn won several awards in 2010. In 2017, he co-wrote Oblivion Verses, which was awarded in Venice. His second documentary, The Dreams of the Castle, was awarded at Valdivia in 2018.
Producer
Executive Producer. In 2019, she founded La Madre, a production company focused on female-driven stories and LGBTQ+ narratives. Executive Producer of «Travesti Odissey», «Landless Children», «Dysphoria Football Club», «Hello Ulises, It’s Paulina», among others.
Producer
Master’s student in Public Policy and Management, Public Administrator, and Bachelor in Political and Governmental Sciences. Producer at the Cineteca Nacional de Chile. At La Madre, he has worked on «Travesti Odyssey», «Landless Children», «Dysphoria Football Club», and «Hello Ulises, It’s Paulina».
