Synopsis
Marithea is a young Afro-Colombian rapper who became an icon of Ibero-American freestyle, defying a scene historically dominated by men. But now, tired of the constant pressure of competitions and the weight of representing those who see her as a feminist symbol, she has only one goal in mind: to retire at the peak of her career.
Director
Diego Cruz is a Colombian director and screenwriter. In 2024, he premiered his first feature documentary, Barbitch, which was selected at festivals such as Havana, FIDBA, and DocsMX, among others. He is currently developing his first fiction feature, Los Últimos, and the documentary Marithea.
Producer
Frank Carreño is a producer with a master’s degree in Transmedia. He co-produced the documentary Barbitch and the feature Matrioshka, which premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Through his company Indócil, he is developing several films, including Marithea.
