Synopsis

A journey into the wild heart of Roberto Bolaño. Filmmaker Pablo Mantilla travels between life and fiction to meet the real “Savage Detectives” and uncover what it means to live — and write — wildly in a world that has forgotten poetry.

  Pablo Mantilla Rayo is a Chilean director, screenwriter, and producer. He directed the feature film Malas Costumbres and TV series such as Mundos Paralelos and Ojo con el Libro. His work blends cinema, literature, and visual poetry. He is currently directing the documentary Salvaje.

  Patricio Ochoa is a Chilean film producer known for Weekend, Papá al Rescate, and other productions. He has led acclaimed film and TV projects with an auteur focus. Patricio is currently producing the feature documentary Salvaje and developing new projects.
