UCHILETV is the open television channel of the University of Chile. Its mission is to offer a bold and high quality programming that combines information, debate, entertainment and dissemination of the arts and sciences. UCHILETV reaches audiences throughout the national territory free of charge via Digital Terrestrial Television and streaming, with content for all ages, promoting critical thinking with an innovative style.
Alicia Scherson
Director and screenwriter of the feature films Play (2005), Turistas (2009), Il Futuro (2013), Vida de Familia (2017) and Guerra de Verano (2025). She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood, AMPAS. She lives in Santiago and is an academic at the University of Chile and since 2022 executive director of the UChileTV channel.
