Synopsis
An exotic deer species spreads uncontrollably across Uruguay. A park ranger devises a plan to stop them without killing, while a Brazilian businesswoman who feels a spiritual connection with the animals vows to protect them, and a farming couple starts hunting to preserve their livelihood. Who decides who lives and who dies?

Mariana Castiñeiras

(Uruguay, 1992) Documentary filmmaker and graduate of the DocNomads master’s program. Her short films Exoskeletons and Out of Shape have been screened at international festivals like CPH DOCS and Hot Docs. She is a programmer at Braziers Film Festival (UK) and has worked for the BBC in London.

Nicolás Sequeira

Nicolás Sequeira is a producer and director. He has worked on international series and films while developing his narrative vision with his production company, Guazuvirá. His short films have won awards, and his features Las viudas, Bicho, and Fideos con tuco are in development.
María José Díaz Merino

María José Díaz is a documentary film and immersive media director and producer. She is the co-founder and executive producer of Galgo Storytelling, and her work has been showcased at festivals such as IDFA DocLab, Sheffield DocFest, and Cannes Docs.
