Synopsis
Juan Ignacio (44) is a documentary filmmaker who lives alone with Moma, an old dog, whose ownership he shares with his ex-girlfriend Maite. Overcome by a midlife crisis, he launches into filming a documentary about the world of fur babys, in a desperate attempt to take charge of a debt that he may no longer be able or willing to pay: fatherhood.
Director
Director and editor. His first film, The Flowers of My Family (2012), won Best Latin American Film at FIDOCS. Portrait of My Father (2022), which premiered at IDFA, was chosen as Best Film of the Year in Uruguay. His work has also been screened at DokLeipzig, Bafici, and Thessaloniki.
Producer
Producer and director with 18 years of experience. Her films have premiered at festivals such as IDFA, Visions du Réel, and Bafici, and have received international awards. She has received artistic creation grants and is a Berlinale Talents 2019. She trained in the UK and teaches at ORT University.
