Synopsis
Owner of Nothing portrays Velas, a miner and single father from Quime, Bolivia, who dreams of redemption by impersonating “El Puma” Rodríguez on a TV contest. While working in the mine and caring for his daughter, he faces alcoholism and frustration in a struggle between failure, hope, and redemption.

Agustín Lagos, an Argentine raised in Bella Vista, began his TV career at 15. A producer of programs and documentaries on social issues, he lives in Catamarca, where he writes and directs award-winning short films exploring South American identity.

Luis María Piccinali, born in 1980, studied film and television. He has worked as a journalistic producer on programs and documentaries and is a multidisciplinary artist in painting, documentary film, music videos, and video art. His travels inspire his short observational films about South America.

Hernán Figueroa Galperin, an Argentine-Polish editor and audiovisual producer with 15+ years in film, TV, and streaming platforms, is founder of Palta Films and Archipiélago Post and a founding member of the Argentine Association of Audiovisual Editors. He focuses on socially driven documentaries.
Producer
Nicolás Mikey, born in 1984 and founder of Palta Films, has produced documentaries with extensive festival runs, including “Un suelo lejano” and “Crónicas de un exilio,” and co-produced the web series “El sueño del pibe.” His work focuses on original content and documentary storytelling.
