Synopsis

The former cameraman of an underground news program during the Chilean dictatorship will bring together journalists and filmmakers to recover unpublished camera footage about the country’s hidden memory, while the group’s leader suffers the loss of his own memory.

Julio Rubilar

A historian and audiovisual producer, his interest focuses on creating documentary works centered on history, politics, human rights, and memory. Among his most notable achievements are “La Pianista” and “Jonathan David,” two micro-documentaries that won awards at the National Art and Human Rights Competition in 2013 and 2015. For the past 10 years, he has been researching his documentary “Teleanalisis Imagenes de un país invisible” (Teleanalysis Images of an Invisible Country), his debut film.

Xhinno Leiva

Producer and director of documentaries at [dereojo comunicaciones]. His latest productions include LAS CRUCES (2018), which premiered and won awards at FID Marseille and Yamagata IDFF; IN LIEBLICHER BLÄUE / EN EL AMABLE AZUL (2020). In 2023, he coordinated the restoration of the film “EL REALISMO SOCIALISTA” by Raúl Ruiz and Valeria Sarmiento. In July 2025, he premiered the feature film “ESA OTRA SELVA BLANCA” directed by Teresa Arredondo, in the official section of FIDMarseille.

Patricio Muñoz G

Executive producer, director, editor, and post-producer of series and documentaries, including Demoliendo el Muro, Las Cruces, Tempo, Cotidiano, and [nadasimple.todosimple], among others. Trained in music, sound, film, and video art. He has been nominated for the Altazor Award for Best TV Director for his work on the series “hDGch – Historia del Diseño Gráfico en Chile” (History of Graphic Design in Chile) and has received the Lifetime Achievement Award for “Contribution to Regional Cinema” at FECICH.
