Synopsis

In Brazil’s rural Jequitinhonha Valley, parents struggle to remain present in their families’ lives, even as they’re forced to spend long months working far from home. This historical cycle of migration leaves deep marks across the entire community.

    Diego Kelmann is a director, producer, and acting coach focused on artistic development and human transformation. With a background in film, TV, and visual arts, he has trained actors for series like Billions and Orange is the New Black. He is the founder of UZ Productions in the USA and Brazil.

    Director

    Jussara Costa, cultural producer and activist from Quilombo Macuco, MG. Founder of MacuCultura and coordinator of the Vozes do Macuco Congado. Works with Rota dos Quilombos and the podcast Fala Quilombo. Studies quilombola architecture and co-directs the film Widows of Living Husbands.
