Synopsis
Yan Maria Castro, a pioneering Mexican feminist, and a group of young activists are working together to fight violence against women and advocate for the decriminalization of abortion in Mexico. This documentary reveals the impact of this movement on Mexican history, shaking its roots and shaping society.
Director / Producer
Tania Claudia Castillo is a writer, director, and editor in Mexico City. She holds a Bachelor of Filmmaking from CCC. Her short film “Primavera” was part of the Sundance Film Festival’s Official Selection. Her upcoming feature, «Stronger Together,» is supported by the Sundance Documentary Fund.
Producer
Miguel Angel Sanchez is a Mexican producer. He was selected for the Berlinale Talents 2022. He produced «»The Dove and the Wolf»» which premiered and was awarded at the Locarno Film Festival. His work addresses pressing humanitarian and social issues in Mexico and around the world.
Producer
Carlos Hernández took part in the Berlinale Talents 2017 and the EAVE Puentes 2020. His productions have received awards such as: Best Documentary from Visions Du Reel, Best Documentary from the Mexican Film Academy and Best Screenplay at Sundance Film Festival.
