Synopsis
Catalina, a fifty-year-old psychologist who decided to give up her profession, lives and works in the middle of Havana’s largest garbage dump. In a journey between memories and the harshness of the present, Catalina reveals the dynamics of the garbage society and shows the reality of a country.
Director
Paloma Gomide is a Brazilian filmmaker who completed a Master’s degree in Screenwriting at EICTV, Cuba.
She directed Onde era mar (2023) and Si la vida me diera un deseo (2025). She is currently in post-production on the short film Soy porque somos and developing Kimbo, her feature film debut.
Producer
Jorge L. García is a filmmaker and lawyer, with a degree in Law and a graduate of EICTV, Cuba. He focuses on socio-political issues. He directed/produced short films (“Sin el pulpo en la cara,” “El sueño de la Jicotea”) and “La milagrosa.” He is currently working on his debut documentary, “Kimbo”
