Synopsis
Through the gaze of five Quechua elders, the persistence of racism, colonial legacy, state repression, and extractivism over their territories in Peru is exposed. Their lives bear witness to a fading era of resistance, while their stories weave the wounds of the past into the ongoing struggles of new generations.

Alex Cruz has worked on various audiovisual projects committed to defending the rights of Andean and Amazonian peoples, and has collaborated as a filmmaker and facilitator in organizations that make visible and denounce the impacts and abuses of extractive activities in Peru.
