FEMCINE – Festival Cine de Mujeres
The FEMCINE Women’s Film Festival is the first film festival dedicated to films made by women in Chile. Founded in 2011, it seeks to highlight, promote, and disseminate the work of national and international female filmmakers. Its program consists of competitions, parallel sections, and special focuses, as well as an industry area featuring a work in progress, workshops, master classes, and discussions.
Cynthia García Calvo
Cynthia García Calvo is a producer and programmer. In 2017, she founded the production company CYAN in Santiago, Chile, with the aim of making feature films on gender and diversity issues. She has worked as a programmer at various festivals and is currently the artistic director of the FEMCINE Women’s Film Festival.
