Synopsis
Just ‘Cuz will explore the interconnections between Hi8 videos recorded by USAF Combat Camera Squads during Operation Just Cause —the US Invasion of Panama in late 1989— with current local and global concerns for the present and the future, on topics such as the codification of (dis)information, the climate hecatomb and ultra-processed food.
Director / Producer
Enrique Castro (b. Panamá 1967; BA Art-Semiotics, Brown University, USA 1990; MPhil script, Universitetet i Bergen, Norway 2002) makes political-poetic film and video art. His feature film Decembers won the 2019 EurImages Award for Human Rights in Cinema at the 38th Istanbul Film Festival, Türkiye.
