Synopsis

While retracing the path of her ancestors between England and Scotland, Vanessa’s past comes to light as she discovers how her work with the Kayapó people unsettled the high command of the military regime.

  Julia Lea de Toledo is a documentary filmmaker. Her first film, If This Street Were Mine, was screened at 13 festivals, including DocsMX and Porto Femme, where it won Best Documentary. She is currently developing two feature documentaries exploring her Brazilian and British family roots.
