Synopsis
Three working-class friends who were killed in the 1988 strike in the industrial city of Volta Redonda, Brazil, return to life and explore the city, its neighborhoods, and ruins. Today, they face high levels of air pollution. Through a hybrid language, the return of these workers connects the past with the possibility of a more dignified city.
Director
Renan Barbosa Brandão is a director, screenwriter, and producer. He studied Film and is a partner at BARAÚNA FILMES, which has over 180 awards. He has made 6 short films that won prizes at Gramado and Brasilia festivals and were selected at FICCI, Havana, Durban, Biarritz, and Festival do Rio.
Producer
Silvia Sobral is an executive producer and production manager from Brazil. She studied Film and Art History and has been producing and developing feature films since 2010. She has worked on films such as La Vida Invisible by Karim Ainouz and Ainda Estou Aqui by Walter Salles.
