Synopsis
In the 1970s, nurses and doctors traveled the mountains of Costa Rica to the sound of Dr. Ortiz’s mysticism and poetry. Together they built the revolutionary community health program “hospital without walls”. While he saved the world, my grandmother filled the hospital gardens with flowers.
Director
Costa Rican anthropologist, director and producer. Her first feature film “Objetos Rebeldes” premiered at IDFA in 2020 and has received several national and international awards. She works as a professor and researcher at the University of Costa Rica and the National University.
Producer
Director, producer and PHD in Communication and Technology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her documentary MAREA ALTA (2020) won the award for best short film at the 2020 Costa Rica International Film Festival. She is a professor and researcher at the University of Costa Rica.
