Synopsis
Thirty years after the death of Reinaldo Ardila Gómez «Ito», a biologist who fought for the preservation of the Serranía de Los Yariguíes in Colombia and joined the ELN guerrilla, Hojas Secas rediscovers his botanical and family archives, weaving an intimate essayistic dialogue about a territory marked by violence.
Director
María José Alarcón director of the short film Cielo Roto, winner of the FDC (2020), selected in festivals such as Ji.hlava and FICCI, among others. She is developing her first documentary feature, Hojas Secas, a project awarded the FDC and selected for the Vision Du Rèel Development Lab (2024).
Producer
Producer and cultural manager with over 12 years of experience. She has produced films such as ‘Lobos’ (2023) and ‘Hugo Zapata: Cantos de Piedra’ (2019), co-producer of PostFamilia, winners of the FDC. She currently leads Paso a Paso Cine and is developing her first feature documentary ‘Hojas Secas”.
