Synopsis
Traversing the majestic Andean Highlands, the Atacama Desert and the coastal cliffs, leading to the squats and settlements in Iquique, Chile, “Unwelcomed” unveils the harsh reality of the Venezuelan migration crisis in Latin America, exposing the cultural clash and growing radicalization in the frontier communities.
Director
Graduate from Bande À Part film school in Barcelona, his short film Este Lugar (2016) was screened at the Filmoteca de Cataluña and the French Institute of Barcelona, and Soterrament (2017) on the Spanish channel Betevé. Currently working on the film Nipon Takes and the documentary series Fotos.
Director / Producer
Economist and Executive Producer. He is currently co-producing the documentary Julio Escámez, Principio y Fin and preparing his debut feature film Unwelcomed. Director of the short films Consagración (Cinelebu 2024) and No Lo Mires (Winner of 48HFP 2023).
