Synopsis
For 35 years, biologist Juan Capella and his assistant Luis Vargas have lived alongside the humpback whales of the Strait of Magellan. After the tragic death of one of them, they immerse themselves in the Patagonian channels to tell the story of Taña and her companions, who struggle to survive amidst the ongoing threat of boat collisions.

Extensive career; directed documentaries Al Sur del Mundo; Chinchorro Mummies, FICValdivia award. His work in TV documentaries and the script for Zona Franca, awarded by Arte 91 Critics, highlights his narrative skill. The last decade has created web series and short films about science and nature.
Producer
Notable career as a lecturer at the U. Austral de Chile and executive producer of the TV series Espíritus de Barro, CNTV 2022, and the documentary Halcón Rojo. She directs Industria siglo XX Valdivia and Survivor of the 1960 tsunami. Her work focuses on the heritage and identity of southern Chile.
