Synopsis
Yolüja, the evil spirit travels on the coal train haunting the dreams of Poo, Alfredo, and Raquel Pushaina, bringing illness and misfortune to their Wayúu community. In an exhumation ritual, the Pushaina family bids a final farewell to their ancestors displaced from their ancestral land by the coal mining company, El Cerrejón.

Colombian film director, producer, and cinematographer who studied film in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He co-directed Unless We Dance, winner of the Best Short Film award at Oberhausen 2023. His project The Shadow of Yolüja won the Vision Sud-Est award in 2024.

Colombian photographer, producer, and filmmaker focused on ethnic and cultural diversity. Co-founder of Páramo Films. She directed award-winning short films such as Balanta and Unless We Dance. The project YOLÜJA, currently in development, won a World Press Photo grant and the Vision Sud-Est award.
