Synopsis

«Why is it so hard to talk to them, if I love them?» I’m Chilean, live in Barcelona, and seldom call my family. From Santiago, my father has written in the Whatsapp group: grandfather, his father, has been convicted as a former military of the dictatorship. Determined to break taboos and the silence that distances us, I travel to Chile for answers.

  Masters in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary from the Universitat Autónoma. In Chile and Spain he has co-directed the shorts Mantagua (2019) and Especista (2021), the latter premiered at Bogoshorts and exhibited at DocsBarcelona, Fipadoc, and Makedox. This is his first feature film.

  Documentary filmmaker. Founder of Santo Cielo Cine and Reverberancias Media. He has co-directed three series, and directs the feature films in development Movimientos and Friends of Chile, supported by state funds and selections in SANFIC and the Phil Ochs Fellowship. This is his first production.
