Viraje Films
We are a fledgling film production company that works with different cinematographic projects, each telling stories linked to cultural, social, and historical processes impacting various peoples and cultures. We believe filmmaking is a constant challenge, a never-ending learning process, and an opportunity for collective creation, where we consider essential aspects such as gender perspectives and a safe workplace.

Synopsis

In a solitary landscape of the Valley of the Chinas in Chilean Patagonia, Roman protects a herd of sheep from cold snowstorms and the threat of the puma. It is the last winter before he retires and returns to an unknown home, where silence will continue to be part of his life.

  Co-director and Producer

  Fabiola Flores, a teacher with a master’s degree in Art History and a diploma in Documentary Film, produced and was the executive producer of the documentary feature film Kadima, El tiempo contenido (2022), and the documentary short film Abran paso (2019). Both productions have been at national and international festivals.

  Gauna

  Co-director and Producer

  Alvaro Gauna, a filmmaker and co-founder of Viraje Films, has taken on the roles of director, producer, screenwriter, photography director, and editor of his debut Kadima, El Tiempo Contenido (2022). He also produced and directed the documentary short film Abran Paso (2019). Both productions have been at national and international festivals.
