Mailin tells her daughter a bedtime story, a metaphor unfolding the protagonist’s quest to recover the memory of her past. Through a collage of archives and childhood drawings emerges the story of a girl who, for fifteen years, suffered the abuses of a priest that justice has just set free.
Director and Producer
María is an Argentinean director and producer, educated in arts. She has written and directed films, some of which premiered at Cannes, won at Locarno, and were screened at the MoMA. She has been a jury member at International Film Festivals, and part of the selection committee of the Colombian Film Fund, Proimágenes.
Mexican producer residing in France, currently head of the Documentary division at the production company Ikki Films. Throughout her career she has collaborated in different audiovisual and cinema projects, for different national and international institutions, production companies and tv chains.
