Synopsis

Malena (31) grew up around empowered women; however they were always preoccupied about beauty standards. This disparity forces her to revisit the beauty pageants that marked her and her family’s lives to be able to explain why they still all wanted to be queens.

  She holds a degree in Audiovisual Arts (UNSAM) and Screenwriting (ENERC). She is the author of the documentary Arañitas Hilanderas and the short films Amalia and Eduardo and A Full Moon Night. In 2017, she published E.P.A, a book for children. She is a professor at ENERC, and Among Queens is her debut documentary.

  Production student at ENERC. She produced the short films Prayers, Night Club, Amalia & Eduardo, and A Full Moon Night. From Garabato cine, she develops documentary and fiction projects. She works as a production coordinator in film and television audiovisual projects.
