Synopsis
Peru, 1987. In a remote area of the Peruvian Andes, during Alan Garcia’s government (1985-1990), four people, while traveling to the Vraem, are clandestinely detained and murdered by the Shining Path; their remains have not been found to date.
Director
Quechua filmmaker. He studied communications and has a master’s degree in Creative Writing from EICTV, Cuba. Rómulo directed the short films Osmany, Rimas de Carreo, and Sara, winners of the DAFO award and selected in numerous festivals. With the film Teloneras (2020), he won the Audience Award for Best Peruvian Film at Transcinema.
Producer
He has a degree in Communications Studies and an international master’s degree in Film and TV Productionfrom the Madrid Film Institute. He is the Executive Producer of the fiction feature film Once Upon a Time in the Andes, winner of DAFO from the Ministry of Culture of Peru in 2019 and the Ibermedia program in 2017.
