Yareta Films
Yareta Films is a production company from northern Chile. Among their works are the children’s animated series Perrocuento (2019), winner of the Best Series Award in Peru and the Sesc TV Award in Brazil. Yareta Films produces Custodio, the Tiger of the East, the docu-animation El Canto de la rana, and is about to premiere the short documentary Mateo y la ciudad.
Synopsis
Motivated and convinced that his dream is possible, Custodio, a young muleteer and self-taught musician from the Andes, decided to leave his small town to become a real artist and bring his music to Mexico. His desire to give a song of his authorship to the Tigres del Norte will be the impulse that will ultimately lead him to embark on this journey.
Director
Jorge is a filmmaker with ten years of experience in sound for film and television. In 2013, he founded Queltehue. In 2016, he ventured into audiovisual creation as part of the collective production of the docufiction short Silvia, exhibited at the Chicago Film Festival and Antofadocs. Custodio is his debut film.
Producer
Mixie made her directorial debut with the documentary La Clausura del Desierto. In 2012, she founded Yareta Films. In 2019, she was in charge of the Film Commission for the Antofagasta region, and, at the same time,she premiered the children’s series Perrocuento. She was the general producer of the Antofacine Festival for three years.
Producer
As a director and producer, he has directed numerous feature documentaries, series, and TV programs over the last 25 years. In 1995, he founded La Maroma Productions, and in 2006 the DocsMX festival. He has participated as a jury member in festivals and project evaluation committees at an international level.
